Lundi Soir En Albertville

Tawnee and Esther have been sick for the past several days. Tawnee hasn't been able to even go to school. Janice and I have been taking turns staying home with her. Me in the morning. Janice in the afternoon and vice versa.

It has been absolutely beautiful here the past week or so. A little bit of fog in the morning and then nice and sunny in the afternoon. Highs have been in the upper 60's to low 70's.

We will post more pictures of our house and the school and the town as time allows.

Thanks to all of you who have sent us care packages. The kids have really enjoyed the instant oatmeal and the top ramen soup. And, now that we have the right stuff to do some baking, I think we'll all enjoy a cake or some cookies. (A regular sized out of the box cake mix here costs almost $8.00! And, there's no frosting to be found anywhere in Albertville.)

Thanks for the "Monday evening" post but as French words become natural to you don't forget us English speakers don't know what they mean so please clue us in with the English underneath!
Is the sickness the flu or some French mysterious disease?

And how is the schooling things going? Is everyone in class now? Tawnee has a class at 3? Is it a preschool for her to play or is it language?

Oh, by the way we never received a list of things you miss from America.

Our xprt.net address is no longer in service. The new one is gnakord@verizon.net

I hope Tawnee is feeling better by now and no one else got sick!

I wondered about the box cake mix... We'll send more frosting soon - do you want anything other than boring vanilla??
