Our Thanksgiving Albertville 2007

We had to celebrate Thanksgiving on Friday rather than Thursday because there was a mix up with the butcher, but the good news is our dinner was great. Things didn't taste exactly like in the states but close. I cooked this freshly killed 20lb turkey along with green bean casserole, mashed potatos, home made dressing (I used my mother-in-laws method--thanx Jan-- and it turned out good, although I think I over did on the herbs...) We also had some ham roll ups, celery with cream cheese & green olives and a not so good spinach dip.

Liddy found Sunny Delight juice so we had some of that too. That is the bright colored juice in the cups.

Here are some pictures of the exciting event. Then of course the after dinner photos of our fat bellies. (ok, so they were taken the day after because we forgot, but you get the picture--no pun intended, but that was good huh!!) Payton is the one under the blanket sleeping the turkey off.
Hope your day was fun with family and friends,
love,
us fludes

Thanksgiving looks just about like home, and sounds like it too!
Hope Africa will be the same for being able to create a U.S. like Thanksgiving, cause I'm sure it makes you feel more like "home".
We missed you all for sure!Again, the photos speek a thousand words to all of us back home!
LOL
