Here is a snippet of an email April got from Janice with some suggestions for things they would enjoy if anyone plans on sending them things. I have been told it is best to send things that can fit in large bubble envelopes rather than boxes. You can always email the Fludes to ask specifics.

Yes, you can send food/candy. Candy is hard to come by here so that would be much appreciated. I was thinking of what people could send us and I thought it would cool to put together a package of something like all the ingredients of the mexican dip mom makes....velveta cheese, green chilis, taco seasoning (we have the tomato sauce) I believe the velveta would fit in one of those large envelops. Or all the things to make a birthday cake along with candles or decorations. Things like that. As far as candy, chocolate send well and any kind of hard(like lifesaver mints green or blue bag--hint hint) and or taffy candy is great. Gum is a real coveted thing since it is very difficult to find it here. (actually I never have yet) Any fun flavored candy is great, those rootbeer candy's would be fun since we haven't had any rootbeer since leaving Fergus Falls. There is this candy store in Edmonds that carries old fashion candy like those wax tub things that have liquid in them and other fun stuff.
