Africa here we come!

Here we are on our last night in France. We had the same pizza for dinner tonight that we had on the first night we arrived in France. We had our friends, Kirk and Kay, that are going to Chad as well over for dinner and chaos! I think we all had some fun.

It's been a blast doing our blog this past year. Hope you have enjoyed it as well.

We will be posting as soon as we can after we settle in Africa.

The Flude Crew

4 days left!!!

OK, so we only have a few days left. We are packing or should I say Steven is packing and repacking and getting everything in the right suit case. We can only bring one suit case per person and it can only be 20 Kilograms which is about 44 pounds....so we are trying to fit everything in. This can be a large challenge since everyone really really needs all their "stuff."!!!!!!!

Here is a shot of Steven gettting things ready.

We will be boarding our bus for Lyon at 6:30am on Tuesday morning which is 9:30pm on the West coast Monday night. We head to Paris from Lyon then to Tripoli, Lybia and then our home in N'djamena, Chad. Could you be praying for our trip? We will have a long day but with all the excitement I think it will go fast.

You are all so very important to us and we will miss posting and reading your comments!!! We plan on keeping our blog going by sending some words and maybe pictures to the states and having them posted from there. My brother Ray volunteered to keep it going for us and you. Thanks Ray. There may be much longer periods of time between posts but it will happen.

We will have more to say just before we leave.

Hi,

well i just got back from our freinds house. their last name is jung and their daughter Suea was just here. they are korean................................and they have 2 kids ALSO AND THEIR KIDS ARE GIRLS. They have a 6 month old baby and her name is Una. Today I ate over at their house. It was pork and currey and rice. It was so yummy. For drink I had this tea thing.

And they eat seaweed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. - When Liddy got back, she told me that there were things in the food that she didn't know what they were but that she didn't want to ask until after dinner was over. Finally, when dinner was over she did ask and there was pork, potatoes, carrots, rice, celery, and onions. - Janice.

Ok well this is emma and i want to tell you about my guitar in africa waiting peacefully for me :)




I can not wait to feel it, touch it, play it, hold it, guard it, and save its little life from all the things that want to hurt it, and last but certainly not least strum it peacefully sitting out side with the hot boiling sun beating on me while I sweat all day and at the end of the day I get to take a nice COLD shower!!!! WON'T THAT BE REFRESHING?!?!?!

VISAS!!!!!!

well we got our visas 5 days ago and we got our passport for hudson and we are leaving 14 almost 13 days and we are sooooo excited to leave and we cant wait.

Our bus picks us up at 6:30 am to take us to Lyon,but i will get up at like 4:00 or 5:00 and that is the start of a very long day.

We will arrive in N'Djamena at around midnight.here is a picture of our visa.

Yo everyone, it's me gracey.


We are starting to pack here and we are getting rid of LOADS of stuff! Em, Turah and I filed up 3 big laundry baskets full of our stuff! WOW, dude it was like, totally like CRAZY man!


Sorry that was really random!! =) It's just my dad talks like that ALLLL the time so i kinda picked it up from him =) J/K!!


Well, today my dad and emma and keturah went to paris to apply for our visas. They got to paris good and they have to go back on Thursday to pick them up. Liddy is excited beacuse she gets to go with him. She is the only one who has not gone on with dad somewhere.


AND TOMORROW IS ETHAN'S BIRTHDAY!!! We are all going swimming--well not Payton or my dad since they make you wear speedos here in France and they have both sworn to NEVER wear one of those!!!.... and then bowling, ethan is just taking his buddy harrison bowling.(it's really expensive)

New Stuff

Hi, This is keturah. You probably have been looking constantly at our blog and finding nothing is new, well, I have lots more pictures I'd like to share with you.

Liddy made some play-dough out of water and flour. I think it got to her head, or should I say her face!
